Cross Country

The Cross Country trials will take place after christmas...The intermediate team is in need of a strong fourth runner. There are four places up for grabs for the east leinsters (this will mean missing a whole day of school). The team is aiming to make the all-ireland championships this year for the first time ever. This would be a great achievement...So get training!!

Cross Country

Congratulations to the Intermediate cross-country team which competed in the annual Clonliffe harriers race in Santry on Wednesday 12th of October. There were only three fourth years competing:

James Grogan (Captain)   17th place overall (1st Blackrock)

Patrick Brennan               43rd place overall (3rd Blackrock)

Michael Feely                  67th Place overall (5th Blackrock)

There were also 3 Third Year students on the intermediate team. Although the team did not place it was a great start to the year. The race consisted of 100 of the best runners from all around Leinster so the lads did very well! Next Race is being held in BLACKROCK COLLEGE on Wednesday the 26th of October. Training on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

Cross Country

Today on the 9th of November, the annual Blackrock College cross country race was held. There was a great turnout from many different girls and boys schools. There were two TY students competing in the under 17 race, they placed as follows:

James Grogan (Captain) - 4th place

Luke Fagan                  - 8th place

Well done also to Fiachra Bourke (3rd year) who came 5th in the same race. The under 17 team came 2nd place in the team event, with belvedere winning the under 17 team. 

Please note : The team is very short of people so if you go to training please come to the races!!

Cross Country Training

Cross Country training has begun. Training will take place at 4pm by the soccer pitch on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays of every week. There will be various inter-schools cross country races held throughout the year, so it is important for all who want to participate to go to training as much as possible. All are welcome!

The east Leinster league race which was supposed to take place on the 26th of October has been cancelled. It will take place in Blackrock College on an alternate date>
