House 3rds V RSA

On Saturday the 8th of October, the House 3rds played Royal School Armagh.The match was played in very windy conditions making it difficult for both sets of halfbacks.

Our already weakened team was disrupted futher when our powerful loosehead Shane Lynch was injured in the 15th minute. We started brightly and after some good phase play, Phil Laurence crossed in the corner. However we failed to retain the upperhand and 15 minutes later the dangerous Armagh 8 powered his way over the line. We lost our outstanding 8 Dane Fitzpatrick at half time to the House 2nds. Thankfully this loss didnt hurt us too much. Phil Laurence scored a 2nd try early in the 2nd half. We then pulled away with further tries from Mark O`Slizlok and Liam O'Dea. Armagh put up a spirited fight and scored late on to leave the score 24-15.
