Colts v CBC Monkstown

Blackrock-fans-SCT-finalBoth the Colts 1sts and 2nds played CBC Monkstown at an unusual kick-off time of 5 pm on Friday. The 1sts were missing many players due to injury and despite playing most of the rugby and having a majority of possession, CBC won 22-7.

The Colts came very close to scoring on many occasions but couldn't take their chances on what was a very wet and cold day in Monkstown. Many refereeing decisions didn't go their way either. Despite two losses this week the 1sts are showing potential and as the season progresses better results are bound to come through. Blackrock's only try was scored by substitute Colm McEvoy in the last play of the game. The Colts 2nds, however, had a much better result beating CBC's 2nds by over 30 points. They are doing extremely well having already beaten Terenure earlier in the week.
