Colts 1sts v St Mary's
The Colts 1sts came up against a St Mary's side featuring many fifth and sixth years on Saturday,14th January 2012. It was the first match of the new year and it was always going to be tough playing against older opposition.
The Colts got off to a good start, however. With tries from Jack O'Keefe and Liam Quigley and one conversion and long range penalty from Tristan Brady, 'Rock finished the half 15-0 up. Numerous changes were made in the second half and following this Mary's scored two tries and brought the score to 15-12. But a great try by replacement wing Colm McEvoy in the final play of the game sealed the game for the Colts. It gives the Colts confidence for the upcoming East Coast League, which begins on Saturday 21st January against Gonzaga.
