24 Hour Soccer Marathon

 soccer marathon 8The 24 Hour Soccer Marathon is a fundraising event run each year in aid of the St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Hamper appeal. Students who are willing to participate will receive sponsorship forms. The students themselves will collect the money for participating in the event. 

         This year the event is scheduled for the 2nd/3rd of December. It is highly recommended by students from previous years who participated in the Marathon.

 The matches are played on various pitches throughout the college grounds and continue through the night in the Jubilee Hall. There are occasional breaks for lunch, dinner, midnight pizza and a swim throughout the event. Games consoles will be set up in the classrooms and Fifa tournaments will be held.

                  All the money raised from the 24hr Soccer Marathon is spent on buying food which Transition Year students will pack into over 180 Christmas Hampers. Approximately 60 students will participate in the event this year. Good luck to all!
