The Tuck Shop

The Tuck Shop is a Transition Year project which is run by the business classes. Each class runs the tuck shop for approximately 6-8 weeks. Each class is divided into groups such as the board of directors and shareholders. People must make an investment into the tuck shop if they wish to make a profit but they are also at a risk of making a loss. It is run out of the 4^th year recreation area and is open at lunch time.

It shows the Business students how to run a business as they must deal with rent, buying their own stock, advertising and dealing with hungry customers. The stock consists of sweets, chocolate, soft drinks and much more, which is why it is always so popular with the students. I am sure it will be a fun experience for all of us!
